Now may be the time for Linux developers to finalize their travel (or stay-at-home) plans, as more details concerning the second annual Linux Foundation End User Summit have become available today. The time, place, and a speaker list have all been cemented.

Admittedly, the End User Summit's name implies that it's mostly intended for end users. However, since developers essentially work for end users, this meetup will provide a good opportunity for the two sides to communicate.

Jim Zemlin, The Linux Foundation's executive director, also said in a statement, "The Linux Foundation End User Summit is an exclusive event for end users and developers to have unfettered access to discuss the most pressing development opportunities for Linux," and so on we go.

The Summit will take place at the Hyatt Regency Jersey City on the Hudson between November 9th and 10th. Jeffrey Birnbaum, the senior vice president of strategy architecture and optimization at Bank of America, will speak, as will Brian Clark, the chief software architect of the NYSE Euronext market.

Novell's vice president of product management, Carlos Montero-Luque, and Red Hat's CTO, Brian Stevens, will also be present, along with James Bottomley, Christoph Lameter, Ted Ts'o, Elena Zannoni, Christoph Hellwig, Ric Wheeler, and Josef Bacik.

More information is available at the official End User Summit site if you're interested. Here's hoping you enjoy the event if you attend.
