Asian Linux Version To Launch Tomorrow

Asianux 2.0, an Asian version of the Linux operating system will launch in Korea and China on Thursday, and in Japan in October.

Asianux was developed by three companies: China's Red Flag Software, South Korea's HaanSoft, and Japan's Miracle Linux. Software companies in China and South Korea are expected this week to release Asianux 2.0, an Asian Linux distribution.

According to CNET news, the companies will sell Asianux 2.0 under their individual brands, but are hoping to get other Asian Linux vendors involved in its distribution.

Asianux is has already being used in a Linux-based National Education Information System (NEIS) project in South Korea.
